Update
Finally heard back...Beta has jumped from around 200 last Thursday to over 800 on Monday! My first ultrasound is scheduled for November 18th. Now...do I want to go alone or bring a friend along? For those who have gone through this, any thoughts?

For my first ultrasound at 6w, I went alone but immediately called a friend from the parking lot to share the news after. For ultrasound #2 at 7w, I brought my friend and it was great to have her there!! It is awesome to be able to share it with someone else but if you can't swing it, sharing it after the fact works too. At least it did for me. :) Hope this helps.
What a great beta!
I went with my mother and one of my sisters. While I think I could have done it alone, it was much better with someone by my side. Someone to be excited and happy with me.
